Manufacturer´s Retail Store Authorization

Effective July 3, 2001 the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) is responsible for the authorization of Manufacturer´s Retail Stores. This includes retail stores operated by licensed Manufacturers (i.e., On-Site Winery Retail Stores, Off-Site Winery Retail Stores, On-Site Brewery Retail Stores, On-Site Distillery Retail Stores) and Brewer's Retail Stores ("The Beer Store").

This authorization allows a manufacturer to operate a store for the retail sale of beverage alcohol made by that manufacturer which meets specified criteria. The eligibility criteria and requirements for each type of store are outlined in the Information Packages available below.
