Gaming Employee

"A gaming employee is an individual who is employed in the operation of casino, charity casino or slot machine facility whose regular duties require access to any area of the premises used for gaming-related purposes. A gaming employee does not supervise other individuals, and in the opinion of the Registrar, does not affect the integrity of the operation of the gaming premises."

An application must be accompanied by an offer of employment from a casino, charity casino, slot machine facility at a racetrack or a landlord of a premises used for gaming-related purposes.

Risk-Based Registration

Transfer to New Employer

A gaming employee may transfer their registration from one gaming premises to another. Transfer requests are made by completing the relevant section in the application form and submitting the request to the Registrar of Alcohol and Gaming within 30 days of the gaming employee's last date of employment with the first employer. The request must be accompanied by the appropriate transfer fee  transfer fee. Note: Once 30 days have elapsed, a new application for registration must be made to the Registrar of Alcohol and Gaming.

A conditional offer of employment from the operator of the new gaming premises must accompany the transfer request.

Termination of Registration

An operator of a casino, charity casino or slot machine facility is required to inform the Registrar in writing, within 5 days, of employees whose employment has been terminated and the effective date of termination. Upon termination of registration, a gaming employee is required to surrender their AGCO photo ID card.
